From Texas to Madrid, With a Stop in Cyprus

A little about the guy behind the bull.

I grew up in Austin, Texas, and started playing disc golf when I was 12 years old. What began as a hobby eventually became a lifelong passion that's taken me to some pretty interesting places.

One of those places is Cyprus, a small island country in the Mediterranean where my wife is from.

Through our connection to Cyprus, I had the opportunity to help introduce disc golf to the island and establish its first nine-hole course. It's one of those projects that reminds me why I love this sport so much. Seeing people discover disc golf for the first time, especially somewhere it's practically unknown, never gets old.

That same passion eventually brought me to Madrid, where I helped get the city's first disc golf course established and opened Mad Disc Golf inside Mercado de la Cebada, a traditional Spanish market surrounded by local butchers, fishmongers, and produce vendors.

Not exactly where you'd expect to find a disc golf shop, but that's part of the fun.

Today, I'm still working to bring more disc golf courses to public parks, traditional golf facilities, and communities throughout Southern Europe and the Mediterranean.
